HostWitness provides independent hosting market intelligence based on real data — not opinions, not paid reviews, not affiliate rankings.

What makes our data different

Independent: We don't accept payment to rank providers higher. Rankings are determined entirely by domain count from DNS zone file analysis. No hosting company can buy a better position.
No paid reviews: Every data point on HostWitness comes from automated daily processing of zone files. There are no subjective reviews, no editor scores, and no "best hosting" awards.
Updated daily: Zone files are downloaded and processed every day. Rankings, trends, and statistics reflect the most recent available data — not quarterly snapshots or annual surveys.
Transparent methodology: We publish our full methodology, including known limitations. You can evaluate our data with complete context about how it's collected and what it does — and doesn't — measure.

Transparency is the brand. Here's how we plan to sustain HostWitness without compromising data integrity:

Affiliate links: Domain tool pages (availability checker, premium domains) may include affiliate links to registrars. These never influence hosting rankings.
Future premium tiers: We plan to offer premium features (API access, custom reports, historical data exports) as paid products. Free public rankings will always remain free and unbiased.
No sponsored content: We don't publish sponsored articles, accept payment for favorable coverage, or allow advertisers to influence editorial decisions.

We take data accuracy seriously. If you notice incorrect attribution, missing providers, or any other data issue:
